Tamariki Te Pūtake creates meaningful opportunities for fathers and their children to reconnect through shared experiences, laughter and quality time together during the school holidays.
For our fathers, it is a chance to practise being present, patient and encouraging. For our tamariki, it is a chance to experience positive memories with their dad in a safe, structured and supportive environment.
Because restoring fatherhood is not only about changing a man’s behaviour.
It is about helping children experience the difference.
When tamariki are placed at the centre, healing can begin, trust can grow, and new family stories can be written.

Children Holiday Programme & their fathers
“Quick to Listen, Slow to Speak, Slow to Get Angry”
The Fathers For Families (FFF) Children`s Holiday Programme is a structured, school-holiday initiative designed to provide tamariki with a safe, engaging, and confidence-building environment during the holiday period. Delivered across community venues including Totara Park and ShedX in South Auckland, Bounce, movies and the programme combines:

Provide a safe and supportive space for tamariki during school holidays
Promote emotional regulation and positive peer interaction
Build confidence, resilience, and teamwork skills
Encourage healthy, active lifestylesCreative and hands-on workshops
Physical activity and outdoor challenges
Team-based games and skill-building exercises
Social connection and friendship-building opportunitiesValues-Based Approach
Aligned with FFF’s broader kaupapa, the programme encourages children to embody courage, kindness, and a positive attitude.The guiding principle — “Quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry” — reinforces emotional awareness, respectful communication, and self-regulation.
Structure
The programme runs across both weeks of the school holidays, operating from 9:30am to 1:00pm on scheduled days.Activities are designed to be accessible, engaging, and developmentally appropriate.

DATES: Tuesday 7th April 2026 - Thursday 9th April 2026 (Week 1)
Tues 14th April 2026 - Thursday 16th April 2026 (Week 2)
TIMES: Daily - 9.00am- 1.00pm
What to bring:
Water Bottle (We will have refill stations)
Appropriate footwear, clothing for outdoor activities
Hats
A BIG smile and GREAT Attitude
Bring your parent/s or nani or papa
Please note:
At the end of the last day - FFF along with our business partners will put on a BBQ for lunch that will follow the children graduation of completion of the two weeks.
